Biofuel-The Liquid

Biofuels are the liquid form of a product that is formed after biomass processes. The two main versions that are used the most widely are ethanol and biodiesel. These can be used in car engines as a replacement for diesel and petroleum.

Ethanol can be created with:

• a mixture of ethyl alcohol
• fermented starch corn
• maize/corn
• sugar/sugercane

Biodiesel can be created with:

Oily plants and substances such as

• Soybean
• Oil palm
• Algae
• Fry oil (from restaurants)

These biofuels are most oftenly be used for:

• A replacement for diesel and petrol in cars
